Liaison interpreting is often required at business negotiations, site visits, fairs, etc. A liaison interpreter usually accompanies a business group or delegation on its visit and interprets as and when necessary.
Different techniques may be used depending upon the situation:
whispered interpreting (chuchotage) for up to three participants;
consecutive interpreting for larger groups.
We provide on-site, face-to-face, consecutive (sentence-by-sentence) interpreting service in business settings.
Two main types of interpreting are practised at most bilingual and multilingual conferences and seminars.
Consecutive interpreting is practised in smaller settings, where the interpreter takes notes. The speaker and interpreter normally take turns, speaking one after the other.
Simultaneous interpreting is practised in larger settings, where interpreters sit in booths, working in real time.
We provide on-site, consecutive as well as simultaneous interpreting service at conferences, seminars, lectures, etc.
